Ref 060906-1: Office Manager (Shanghai)

Company specialising in sports surfaces seeking an Office Manager to run and manage its office in Pudong, Shanghai, P.R.China.

Responsibilities

a. Coordination of all administrative functions including HR, office leases etc.
b· General secretarial work on coordinating manufacturing schedules, planning meetings, travel arrangements and documentation
c· Conduct market research; track Chinese language Internet sites and summarize for Partners in English
d· Light accounting work such as filing expense reports and coordinating Payroll and HR functions with outside service providers
e· Manage day-to-day operations of office including outside vendors
f· Manage Import & Export bookings, documentation and scheduling
g· Manage inventory levels and purchasing for manufacturing facility

Requirements:

· Minimum [3] years of work experience in high-level management
· Fluent in English (oral, written, spoken) but prefer someone born in China, who studied English abroad
· Strong MS Office and PC skills; intimate with Internet to search for information
· Must be energetic, proactive and be a team leader
· Can demonstrate good attention to detail and excellent standard of work
· Can demonstrate thoughtfulness, creative problem solving skills - going beyond what’s asked to get job done
· Require 3 excellent references from previous employers or academic supervisors
· Degree from reputable Chinese university, ideally in English, administration or human resources
